Stroller & Scooters

Strollers and scooters can make a comfortable trip for everyone.  There is going to be a good deal of walking involved when visiting the magic kingdom.  If you are traveling with anyone that may have mobility issues, consider renting a scooter or stroller.  These can be rented at the individual parks as well as a number of rental companies that offer free delivery and pickup from your hotel.  All Disney World® transportation is equipped to handle scooters and wheel chairs so there is no need to worry about that part.  Scooters or strollers will allow your party to move comfortably through the parks at whatever pace you may choose.  Even all of the “Must Do” rides have access for scooters and wheel chairs.   Strollers are typically left outside so be sure to label your stroller and take anything of importance with you.

Back Up Plans

Even the best laid plans can hit a snag.   If you have created a touring plan for each day, be sure to have a backup plan for when those unforeseen events happen.  An example is if you plan to spend the day at a Blizzard Beach, be aware that if there is lightening, they may close rides and even the entire park.  Be sure to check out each park for non-ride attractions.  A good example would be the Walt Disney  museum at Hollywood Studios® just down from Toy Story Mania.  These are good spots to take a break from the rain or heat as well as see something you might have otherwise missed.

First Aid Stations

If you encounter any medical issues while in the parks, seek out the first aid station.  They can provide items as simple as band aids and ace bandages.  First Aid centers can also store medications which require refrigeration. For your safety, special containers can be provided for disposal of hypodermic needles.  Nurses are available during normal park operating hours to offer over-the-counter medications, bandages and other quick remedies so that you can begin enjoying your vacation again.  Always seek assistance from a cast member – they are always more than happy to help.
